Horn is recommended for bakers, beach lovers, party animals and lounge lizards. It is safe for families with young children (not open drug trafficking or prostitution) but note that the strip is heavily influenced by adults.
Pantai Tengah.
Tengah is a continuation of Sinang, but the atmosphere is completely different. This is a calmer, more elegant and generally more expensive version of Senning (but still with some cheap restaurants and guesthouses).
Tengah is more suitable for families, couples, mid-budget travelers and low-party backpackers. The Casorina Lane street offers pleasant and romantic sunsets and beautiful beaches. But despite its serene atmosphere, Tengah is home to two tough nightclubs, Sun Bay and Eagle Rock.
It is a beautiful bay with two mid-budget resorts that offer tons of water sports. The two resorts here have the backing against the amazing Matt Chanchang Rain Forest Reserve, so both resorts offer a lot of great activities. Burjia is one of only two resorts on the island that offers out-of-the-water stilts.
Borau Bay is located in the northern part of western Lingawi and is quite remote, half an hour’s drive to Sinang. It is highly recommended for families traveling on a medium budget, honeymooners, nature lovers and water sports enthusiasts. However, it is not recommended for travelers to consult about insects, reptiles and wildlife.
Datta Bay and Tanjang Ro.
Luxury resorts in the north of the island are for those who have unlimited funds. Both beaches are flawless and beautiful, and all the hotels here offer a level of luxury that makes you wonder if it is worth leaving the resort. Datai Bay Resorts is surrounded by dense virgin rainforests and is especially recommended for nature lovers (but those who are obsessed with insects and wildlife should stay away). Resorts have advanced nature guides. Needless to say, all resorts have excellent children’s activity centers and separate family swimming pools.
Mountain
Koh is our main town center where banks and government offices are located. If you can’t live without the beach, Mount Backpackers makes the perfect base camp for budget travelers. It has everything you need before you go out for the day: cheap accommodation, cheap restaurants, ATM machines, banks, a post office, drug stores, shopping malls, supermarkets, money changers , Doctor and dentist. Recommended for those who like small towns with Third World atmosphere.
If you camp in the mountains you will need a car or scooter but there are lots of rental deals at Jetty Point.
Jalan Pantai Coke.
There is a beautiful wild hill on the west coast between the airport and Borau Bay, home to Sheraton and Tanjing Sanctuary Resorts. These are upscale resorts that offer beautiful natural surroundings and incredible sea views, but the beaches are not perfect for swimming. Recommended for nature lovers, families and couples but beach lovers stay away.
Olu Malaka
Aloo is a rice-growing village in the middle of Malacca Island. The two main resorts, Fox Hill and Sunset Valley, are traditionally built and furnished in the style of the Malay village and offer a variety of cultural activities. The resorts overlook the beautiful rice fields that look beautiful at sunset. Recommended only for those who appreciate traditional local culture and lifestyle.
